YEAR END WRAP UP
December '04 ended with a shot seen around the world when ABC's "Good Morning America" called on Stone Productions to shoot Erika Ebel and her newborn son in their home in Old Hickory, Tennessee. Through a satellite feed seen on GMA on Christmas Eve, Erika was able to talk to her husband stationed in Iraq and show him their baby for the first time.
When "Good Morning America" broadcast their show from Nashville, Rich shot in the homes of country stars Brooks and Dunn, LeAnn Rimes and Joe Don Rooney of Rascal Flatts for a "Country Cribs" segment on the show. We shot another piece for the same program featuring the Second Harvest Food Bank and one of its former clients, who is now an employee.
Over the past few months, Rich also worked on a segment for ABC's "20/20" in Nashville about a gymnastics coach convicted of sexually abusing one of his gymnasts; a profile on Wynonna Judd for "The Today Show" and an "E! True Hollywood Story" on Dolly Parton.
Speaking of country stars, producers of a new Travel Channel show, "Stars Travel" sent Leesa and Rich to tour Faith Hill and Tim McGraw's tour bus at the Hemphill Brothers' Coach Company in Nashville. While there, we also shot George Strait's bus as it was transformed from an empty shell into a mobile mansion.
For Animal Planet's "The Ultimate Zoo" Rich used a boom pole and a lipstick camera to get some amazing shots of meerkats at the Nashville zoo inside their underground homes. This was Rich's third shoot for the show in recent months.
Ken Jennings run on "Jeopardy" had the country fascinated and producers of the A&E program "Biography" were no exception. We interviewed game show expert Steve Beverly for an upcoming profile on the quiz show king.
And finally, our video for Nashville's Hospital Hospitality House is now complete. Hospital Hospitality House is a home away from home for out-of-towners who need extended outpatient care or who have hospitalized loved ones. We showed the video at the organization's black tie affair in November and a donor at the event pledged a $100 thousand dollar gift immediately after the showing.
