We finished a nationally distributed public service announcement for the American String Teachers' Association. The 30 second spot featured world renowned fiddle player Mark O'Connor and several string music students shot in the Nashville area. Please visit our Video Clips page to see this PSA.

We've also shot, written and produced segments for the "Dream Builders," telecast on HGTV. Currently, we're working on a steel home construction project for the show which will be finished in the fall when the house is complete. In the meantime, we are in production on two other segments which will wrap by the end of May. Another piece we worked on featuring a log home called "Ridegetop" was telecast on "Dream Builders" in April.

E! Entertainment called on Stone Productions to interview Paul Worley, who produced the Dixie Chicks first two albums. The interview was part of "Dixie Chicks Revealed" on E! Country music is also central to another project: "Ultimate Country Home," now running on Country Music Television. Rich has been Director of Photography for the show, which features country stars such as Jo Dee Messina, Montgomery Gentry and many others redecorating a home in rural Tennessee.

After the shuttle tragedy, Rich traveled to Huntsville, Alabama to shoot a live shot for "Good Morning America" in a shuttle simulator. Rich and audio tech David Rogers positioned a lipstick camera in the simulator to supplement our Sony D-600 for a unique perspective during the live shot.

The conflict in Iraq has kept us quite busy here at home. Leesa worked on an ABC World News Tonight piece, documenting soldiers at Ft. Campbell as they were issued their desert gear, received inoculations and got their paperwork in order before shipping out. She also coordinated and produced a live shot for "Good Morning America" at Ft. Campbell, Kentucky with 25 soldiers and Major General David H. Patraeus, the Commanding General of the 101st Airborne Division. Troop deployment to the Middle East was also the topic of another "20/20" piece Rich worked on, shooting b-roll and interviews at Ft. Campbell. We also choreographed a Good Morning America Live shot with seven fathers and their sons being called up from the Army Reserves. Their interview with Charlie Gibson went off with out a hitch, even with the multiple microphones and IFB's involved!

We interviewed country music star Clint Black about his song, Iraq and Roll. It was part of a Good Morning America piece about entertainers weighing in on the war. Leesa also worked with ABC correspondent Barbara Pinto at Ft. Campbell on the "fragging" incident involving a 101st Airborne soldier who is accused of attacking members of his own brigade.

On a lighter note, Rich got to see first hand how elephants create artwork when he shot painting pachyderms for CBS Saturday Morning. We also just wrapped production on a corporate video for Bridgestone Americas, featuring the most likeable CEO on the planet, John Lampe.

Our work continues on a music video for Special Olympics. We have shot many Special Olympic events in recent months, including the Winter Games in Gatlinburg, Tennessee. This footage will be edited with the song, "Heart of a Lion," co-written by our good friend, Steve Ivey of Ivey Music International.

The Special Olympics music video will be edited in house at Stone Productions, since we have purchased a Final Cut Pro 3 editing system powered by a G4 Macintosh computer. The finished product is non-compressed, broadcast quality. This system is a great addition to our company and helps fulfill our mission of being a full service production partner for all of our current and future clients!

We also have a great new logo created by Rhea Borzak at Magnetic Dreams Animation Studio. Mike Halsey, owner of Magnetic Dreams brought the logo to life with awesome 3-D animation which we will edit onto most of our finished projects. You'll notice the new look and new logo here on our website, created by web mistress extraordinaire, Trisha Peña Webb.
