WHAT’S NEW

Our biggest news is the purchase of a high definition camera, the Panasonic HDX-900.  It’s one of the most popular high definition cameras available today.  The Panasonic HDX-900 is extremely versatile, capable of shooting 1080i or 720p.  If your project calls for high definition, this camera will deliver a top quality product.  (Click here to see Stone Productions’ complete equipment list)

In other news, we’re proud to announce the addition of Nissan North America to our client list.  After the automaker relocated its headquarters to Nashville, Nissan contracted with Stone Productions to shoot and produce several videos for new Nissan/Infiniti vehicles.

The videos are shot in a Nissan studio with a crew of more than a dozen people, including an on camera talent.  We’re looking forward to shooting more videos for Nissan this fall.

Bridgestone's Dan MacDonald checks script with CEO Mark Emkes

Bridgestone North American Tire continues to be a valued client, as Stone Productions is in our seventh year of shooting and producing the company’s Teammate Videos.  These videos are a communication tool for CEO Mark Emkes to keep Bridgestone’s 50 thousand employees in the Americas informed of important issues involving the company.

Road trips for the Teammate Videos included the Chicago Auto Show and the Bridgestone Invitational Golf Tournament in Akron.  Rich also shot with the Panasonic HDX-900 at Bridgestone’s Bloomington, Illinois plant where the company manufactures Off the Road Tires.  Bridgestone shared the footage with the History Channel show, “Modern Marvels.”

“Love Lay Dying,” a Dateline NBC show about plastic surgeon Christ Koulis, accused of overdosing his lover, featured Rich’s camera work when the story aired in April.  For three weeks, Rich shot interviews and b-roll in connection with Koulis’ murder trial in nearby Franklin, Tennessee.

Leesa field produced promotional spots for “The Dr. Phil Show” and Hasbro with teen sensation Miley Cyrus and her dad, Billy Ray Cyrus.  The spots were shot backstage before one of Miley’s sold-out “Best of Both Worlds” concerts.  The show in Nashville also happened to be Miley’s 15th birthday!

Rich has also been covering a story for “The Dr. Phil Show” in Clinton, Kentucky.  That’s where Dr. Phil has been working to help a 44-year-old man who weighs more than 700 pounds to lose weight.  The story was not only Dr. Phil’s first show this season but has been incorporated into a spin-off program, “The Doctors,” starring physicians featured on “The Dr. Phil Show.”  One of those doctors, Travis Stork, M.D., who starred on “The Bachelor,” was with Rich on his last shoot in Clinton.  Coincidentally, this is the third “Bachelor” Rich has worked with!  He’s also shot with Andrew Firestone and “Bachelor Bob.”

Stone Productions had seven cameras in place for the live webcast of Vanderbilt’s Commencement again this year.  The event is being produced for distribution on DVD. We were also busy shooting other Commencement week events such as Senior Day keynote speaker, Bob Geldof, the Medical School Commencement and “Study Breaks,” designed to give parents a taste of the University’s curriculum.

Sony BMG Nashville hired Rich to shoot behind the scenes of Carrie Underwood’s music video, “So Small.”  The shoot was on location on an unfinished section of interstate highway just outside of Nashville.  His footage was included in an electronic press kit produced by the label.

Both Alan and Denise Jackson have been in front of the camera for Stone Productions:  Alan Jackson talking about his latest album, Good Time for his label, Arista Nashville; and Denise talking about her book, “It’s All About Him,” for a webcast in connection with publisher Thomas Nelson.

Thomas Nelson’s Gabe Wicks also staged a poolside shoot with the authors of “The Domino Effect” project.  Rich shot pastor/author Dave Rhodes on a diving board for the first installment of what is to be a series of videos.  Other locations included an old church and a wooded setting.

And finally, Stone Productions recently wrote, shot and produced two videos for Hospital Corporation of America.  The quick turn project involved shooting in four cities. Leesa voiced the videos, which were shown to a meeting of HCA hospital CEOs.
