Rich has won 12 of television’s most coveted award, the Emmy®. The awards include Camera, Lighting Director – Location and Feature stories. Over the years, Rich has traveled the U.S. and the world, shooting events ranging from the famine in Somalia, an art show in Tokyo, climate change researchers in Italy for NBC News and Oprah Winfrey’s interviews of J.K. Rolling in Scotland and Lisa Marie Presley in England.

Rich also jetted around the world for the nationally syndicated television show Travel and Adventure. As Director of Photography for the program, Rich documented action such as rock climbing in the Pyrenees Mountains of Spain, hot air ballooning in Sweden, and alligator wrestling in the Everglades.

Whether it is NBC, ABC or CBS or any other network, or cable program, he stays busy covering history, feature stories and current events in the U.S. and overseas, along with video production work for major corporations and organizations. Rich is the Director of Photography on the Circle Network's Talking in Circles with Clint Black, now beginning production on its fifth season.

“A lighting cameraman,” is a term that describes Rich well. With a large arsenal of lights on board our production van, which one client called his "super power," Rich arrives at shoots within driving range from our Nashville base ready for any lighting challenge. He has years of experience lighting a wide variety of subjects on location and in studio situations but brings a fresh approach to each shoot, aspiring to give every client the best possible look and feel for their project.

In addition to his Emmy® awards, Rich has won numerous National Press Photographers Association national and regional awards, Radio and Television News Directors Association awards, plus state Associated Press and United Press International awards for photography and a shelf full of Telly Awards. Rich also served on the Board of Governors of the National Academy of Television Arts and Sciences (NATAS) Nashville/Mid-South Chapter.
